Reaching the Lost with the Good News

At Watts Chapel Baptist Church, our heart is for the lost. We believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the most powerful message the world needs to hear, and we are dedicated to making sure that message reaches every corner of our community. Evangelism is the key to fulfilling the Great Commission, and it is central to everything we do here. We are committed to going into our community and sharing the hope of Christ, inviting those who don’t know Him to experience His love, forgiveness, and salvation.

Our Approach to Evangelism

• Door-to-Door Outreach: One of the most direct and impactful ways we reach people is through personal interaction. Our church members actively go into neighborhoods, knocking on doors and introducing themselves. We offer prayer, share the message of Jesus, and extend an invitation to join us in worship and fellowship. This is a personal approach to evangelism where relationships are built, and the Gospel is shared one home at a time. It is often through these personal connections that lives are transformed.
  
  

• Street Preaching and Public Outreach: We are also working to take the Gospel to the streets. In public spaces such as parks, markets, and community events, we want to preach the Word of God with boldness and compassion. We believe that the power of the Gospel is meant to be shared with all people, and public outreach is a powerful tool to reach those who may never step into a church building. Whether through street preaching, community events, or public prayer gatherings, we meet people where they are and invite them into a relationship with Christ.
  
  

• Relational Evangelism: Building genuine relationships is key to reaching others with the Gospel. Rather than simply offering a one-time interaction, we strive to connect with people over time. By investing in their lives, meeting their needs, and demonstrating Christ’s love through ongoing relationships, we create opportunities for the Gospel to be shared in a meaningful and personal way.
  
  

• Special Events and Community Engagement: Evangelism is not limited to door-to-door efforts or street preaching. Our church also organizes community events designed to engage with the people of Crab Orchard. Whether it’s a free meal, a community carnival, or a special outreach event, these events provide opportunities for us to share the Gospel while showing the love of Christ in tangible ways. We also partner with local businesses, schools, and other organizations to extend our reach further into the community.
