"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."
Romans 12:2
At 122 Young Adults, we are committed to helping young adults navigate the challenges of adulthood through a strong, Christ-centered foundation. Inspired by Romans 12:2, our ministry encourages transformation through the renewing of the mind—helping each individual break free from the pressures of the world and embrace the fullness of God’s purpose for their lives.
Our group is made up of young adults in their 18s to early 30s who are seeking community, growth, and discipleship. Whether you're just starting college, beginning your career, or trying to find your place in the world, 122 Young Adults is a place where you can connect, grow in your faith, and be challenged to live out God's will in your everyday life.
What is 122 Young Adults?
122 Young Adults is a vibrant community for individuals in the crucial stage of young adulthood—whether you're in college, starting a new job, or building your adult life. The number 122 is drawn from Romans 12:2, a verse that challenges us to live a transformed life by the power of Christ, to reject the norms of society, and to follow God’s will.
Our group is designed to help young adults find purpose, build lasting relationships, and grow spiritually, all while navigating the complexities of adulthood. We’re committed to creating a community where young people are empowered to be bold in their faith, challenge cultural norms, and live out the mission of God.
What Does 122 Young Adults Look Like?
Bible-Based Teaching for the Real World
At 122 Young Adults, we dive deep into God's Word, seeking truth and wisdom that can be applied to the challenges we face today. From career decisions to relationships, faith in action, and finding purpose, our Bible studies are designed to speak directly to the real-world issues young adults encounter.
Biblical Teaching: Each gathering is focused on studying the Bible together, discovering what it means to live out our faith in today’s world, and how we can apply God's word to our daily decisions and struggles.
Practical Application: Our teaching isn’t just about head knowledge—it’s about equipping you to live it out. We explore how to integrate your faith into every area of life: from work to relationships to personal growth.
Discerning God’s Will: Just like the transformation described in Romans 12:2, we focus on understanding God’s will and how to align our lives with His good, perfect, and acceptable plans.
Community and Fellowship
We understand that being a young adult can be a lonely and confusing time. That’s why 122 Young Adults is a place to find meaningful community, build relationships with like-minded believers, and support one another on this journey of faith.
Small Groups: We offer small groups where young adults can dive into discussion, study, and prayer together. These groups provide a space for open conversations, prayer requests, and mutual encouragement.
Building Relationships: In a world that’s increasingly isolated, we believe in fostering real, authentic relationships. Our group is not just about coming to church, but about building friendships that will last a lifetime.
Mentorship: Our more mature leaders come alongside younger adults to mentor, guide, and support them as they navigate their lives. Whether you're wrestling with questions about careers, relationships, or faith, you’ll find someone to walk with you.
Living Out the Gospel in Every Area of Life
As a young adult, it can be difficult to balance everything life throws at you. At 122 Young Adults, we believe that living a transformed life means living the Gospel wherever we are—at work, school, with friends, in our families, and in our communities.
Faith in the Workplace: We teach young adults how to live out their faith in their jobs, internships, and academic pursuits. It’s about showing up with integrity, doing your work as unto the Lord, and being a witness in your sphere of influence.
Relationships: We address topics like dating, friendships, and healthy relationships, teaching biblical principles for love, purity, and respect.
Mission-Focused Living: We also encourage young adults to consider their role in God’s mission both locally and globally. Whether it’s serving in the church, supporting a mission effort, or just being an example of Christ in everyday interactions, we believe every young adult is called to make an impact for the Kingdom of God.
Engaging with the World While Standing Firm in Christ
Living as a young adult in today’s culture can feel overwhelming with the constant pressure to conform to worldly standards. At 122 Young Adults, we want to equip you to stand firm in your faith, be transformed by the power of God, and live counter-culturally in a way that glorifies Him.
Standing Against Cultural Pressures: We’re committed to addressing the challenges young adults face today—whether it's the pressure to fit in, conform, or compromise. We help equip young adults to live out a faith that is not defined by societal norms but by God’s Word.
Transformation from the Inside Out: The goal is not just to look different on the outside but to experience a true, internal transformation that impacts every area of life—from our thoughts and decisions to our attitudes and behaviors.
World Changers: We believe young adults are called to be agents of change in the world. Whether it's at school, in your job, or in your community, God has placed you in a specific place to make a difference.
Serving the Church and the Community
We believe in the importance of serving others and showing the love of Christ both within the church and outside the walls of the building. 122 Young Adults actively engages in service projects, both locally and globally, to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Local Outreach: We organize community service projects, from assisting with church events to volunteering at local shelters or helping clean up around the community.
Global Missions: We also believe in supporting missions around the world. Whether it’s short-term mission trips, raising awareness for global causes, or supporting missionaries financially, young adults are encouraged to take part in God’s mission globally.
